Just as the end of our school year was unique, our 8th grade graduation was as well. Because our state has still been under a no-mass-gathering mandate, we worked to comply and still honor those students leaving us for their high school careers.
Our original plan to have a parking lot ceremony was altered as well because of inclement weather. So, we moved our ceremony to the front lobby of our school. Staff, decked out in masks and signs, cheered each student as they entered the Lobby, received their certificate, and had their picture taken. The students received several gift bags from staff and the school.
Though not getting to physically end the year together was disappointing, we are so glad to still be able to walk these great kids to the finish line. Good Luck to every one of them in high school!
