Important News in Light of the Governor’s Mandated School Closures

Message from our Administration:

Due to the rapidly changing coronavirus situation, HSAY will be cancelling school for students today Friday, March 13 so that staff may prepare materials for students to work on during Governor Dewine’s mandatory three week shut down of schools.

On Monday, March 16th Youngstown City bussing will be running and school will be in session as usual. We are urging all students to come to school on this day. Teachers will pass out materials and give students directions on how to complete their assignments while they are home for the three week shut down beginning Tuesday March 17th until April 3rd.  The school day will be a good time for students to ask their teachers any questions they may have about their assignments and for parents to stop in and update their email addresses as this will be a good way for you or your students to ask teachers questions during the three week shut down period.

As always the safety and health of our students is of the upmost importance so we will continue to monitor the ongoing changes of this situation and update everyone with any changes we make in the future as often as needed.

Please check back periodically for updates as the situation develops.
