Hispanic Heritage Night – October 19th, 2017

Hispanic Heritage Night –
“On Thursday, October 19th, HSAY celebrated Hispanic Heritage Night. Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15th – October 15th each year. This month celebrates the Hispanic culture and traditions. Dancers performed classic Spanish dances, including bachata, merengue, and samba. Students and teachers held flags representing each Hispanic country, while our very own Yohanan Dawson read facts about each country. Families enjoyed traditional Hispanic dishes, such as pastelitos and arroz y frijoles. A special thank you to our Spanish teacher, Ms. Granitto, for organizing the event. Another special thank you to Youngstown State University for providing the flags.”
