College Credit Plus

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Ohio’s College Credit Plus can help scholars earn college credits by taking college courses from community colleges or universities. The purpose of this program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options to college-ready scholars. When taking a college course from a public college or university, College Credit Plus is free. There is no cost for tuition, books or fees if you attend a public school in the state of Ohio.

In order to enroll in College Credit Plus (CC+) courses, a scholar must:

  • Attend a parent/scholar meeting informing all involved of the benefits and statewide changes in the program.
  • Apply to college in accordance with the college’s established procedures for admission.
  • Meet the established standards for admission and course placement of the college/university.

CC+ courses taken at public institutions of higher education are offered to eligible scholars cost-free.  If a scholar earns a grade of an “F” in a CC+ course, or fails to complete the course, it may result in all financial obligations of the course defaulting to the scholars and his or her parents/guardian.

In order to participate in this academic opportunity, parents and scholars are strongly advised to attend our information session regarding enrolling in CC+. This meeting will take place at Horizon Science Academy on January 24, 2019. We hope to see you at this important event.

RSVP by January 17th to or call 330 782-3003 ext. 101

Thank You!
